Pineapple Punch

This outfit contains some of my favorite things–pattern mixing, pineapples, and sequins. It makes me ready for summertime and vacation. Can we all just pack up and head to the beach already?! We just booked our first vacation and I can’t wait!

Top: J. Crew Factory c/o The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass–under $15 today // Shorts: Old Navy–under $13 today (discount applied at checkout) // Straw Hat: Nordstrom–$25 (different design) // Tote: Tory Burch // Sandals: Target // Necklace + Earrings Set: Charming Charlie (similar earrings, similar necklace, similar necklace)
Pattern mixing is so easy–just add stripes!  This pretty striped tee picks up the green from the shorts, so the patterns mix well. Yes, I own a million striped tees. No, it will never be enough.haha  The pineapple shorts are the perfect length at 3.5″ inches. They’re not too short and not too long.  Plus, you can score both of these pieces for under $15!!!
I thought the white and grass green color scheme needed punched up some, so I added hot pink accessories. The pops of hot pink really make the outfit standout. Even though hot pink is nowhere else in the outfit, this works because I’m wearing it from head-to-toe and it pulls everything together.
And I can’t forget this straw beach hat with sequins! I wanted one of these so bad last year, but they were all too expensive. This version is very affordable at $25, and you can even get this version as well. It’s also good quality, especially for the price.  If you’re heading to the beach this summer, then you NEED this hat!
What are your vacation plans?
