I used to never take the time to both with lip product. I would use some lip balm or lip gloss here and there, but that would be it. It’s just been in the last several years that I’ve started to really enjoy using lip products. Looking back at the time, I’m sure that Birchbox, as well as the first couple of blogs I read, influenced me to pay more attention to my lips.
When looking for a lip product, I want something that tastes decent and hydrates my lips. Ooo, and a nice color too (when applicable)! Here lately, I’ve found several amazing lip products to share with you!
1. L’Oreal Glossy Balm in Innocent Coral (Walmart, $6.97). I received this product in my Walmart Beauty Box, and I’m in love! It’s easy to apply and makes your lips oh-so soft! The color is the perfect pick-me-up for the sometimes gloomy weather this time of year, and will brighten-up your face!
2. NYX Butter Gloss in Raspberry Tart (purchased for $2.99, reg. $4.99*). I kept reading about this product on different blogs. When I walked into Ulta and found it 40% off as part of their weekly specials a few weeks ago, I had to try it. The color payoff is great, and it makes your lips feel fabulous! This purple-y shade is perfect for fall! Also, nude lips are making a comeback this season, so give this a try in Eclair, Apple Strudel, or Fortune Cookie if you’d like to go that route.
*Currently BOGO 50% off at Ulta and can combine with the $3.50 off $10 Ulta coupon)
3. Chapstick–Cake Batter flavor (Walmart, $0.98). This product is a must-have for fall and winter. It tastes amazing (not waxy) and is super-soothing to your lips. Also, this stuff is evidently hard to find, and it is going for ridiculous prices online.
4. Cailyn Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss Stick in Love Affair ($19.00). This shade is a very on-trend color for fall, without being too dark. I had been wanting something in this shade-range for a few weeks, and just happened to get it in my Ipsy glam bag for September. Beside the color, I also really like the non-sticky formula.
This time of year, it’s especially important to take care of your kisser so that it doesn’t get chapped. These options make that easy, fun, and, most importantly, affordable!
What’s your must-have lip product for fall???

I'm in love with the balm too! Mine is a plum color, which I never would've picked myself but actually enjoy. The NYX looks like something I would enjoy, too. Ever since I've had Juliet I haven't been wearing as much gloss like I used to, I'm really loving the buttery almost chapstick consistency with color.
I love that NYX balm. I got it, I think in an Ipsy bag, in a neutral shade. It's great! I want to try that Chapstick!
I'll have to try that NYX balm! And cake batter chapstick?! Yum!
xoxo

Thanks for the review, I need to get some more lip products as mine go missing a lot lol. Rachel xo
Great post! I am the same way! I used to just throw on some gloss, but lately I've been trying all kinds of products and lipsticks. It's so much fun! I will definitely have to try some of these!

I was definitely just a tinted (maybe!) lip balm girl too, but this summer I got into more color. Need to keep my eyes out for the NYX balms. I think they have them at my Target here! And isn't it hilarious that a Chapstick flavor is "hot"? But you're so right – you need to get your hands on the cake batter one quick!!

I'm a huge fan of the NYX butter gloss. I'll have to try that cake batter chap stick!

I'm on the lookout for a good plum color! I really think you'd like the NYX since you like the L'Oreal. It's got that same great consistency to it:)
You've GOT to try the Chapstick! It's amazing. I bought a 3 pack, so I have 1 in my purse, 1 at the office, and 1 at home. I've heard so many bloggers say good things about the NYX balm, so I had to try it, and I wasn't disappointed!
Let me know what you think if you do try it. And the cake batter Chapstick is seriously amazing. It's like a treat that keeps on giving!
Brittany, I loved all of the MAC lipsticks you posted! All of my MAC shades are brighter, and I really felt like I needed something different for fall. These just happened to come my way, I surprisingly liked them all (I can be really picky). It's just been in the past year or two that I have started to step away from beauty counter products and start trying some drugstore favorites.
Rachel, everything I own goes missing a lot!lol I had to go hunt these down between my purse, my wristlet, and another purse I carried this week. The good thing about cheaper products is that my heart doesn't hurt if I have to buy a replacement.
Girl, you need to go to Amazon and search for it. Seriously. It's highway robbery for CHAPSTICK!lol I found a 3-pk at Target for cheap. And the NYX balms are a must. I will definitely be buying more shades, and it'll probably be one of my go-to brands!
What's your favorite color in the NYX Butter Gloss?
Oh I LOVE all of these!! Thanks for doing this review, I hate investing in lipstuff (it can get so expensive!) without having any idea what it is like! xo
Same here! I used to be a more cosmetic counter lipstick kind of girl, but here lately, I've found some excellent drugstore products like 3 of the 4 shown above.
