TGIF! This week has been much slower paced than my last 2 weeks. Yay for having time to catch my breath! Let’s recap:
1. The birthday bandwagon continued this week. My mom’s birthday was last Friday. We went out to celebrate her birthday on Saturday night. It was a low-key dinner at a local restaurant that we love. Happy birthday, Mom! My mom is twenty years older than me, but that age gap has seemed to narrow as we’ve gotten older:) She’s pretty amazing. Then on Sunday, I took Kane to a birthday party for Al, the daughter of one of my best friends. It was at a play place and the kids had a blast! Happy birthday, Al!

That would be pizza on his chin! He was having the best time! |
2. New phone time! For those of you who follow on me on Twitter, you may remember that I was tweeting with CSRs from the major nationwide carriers. I have had Verizon for something like 7.5 years, but I felt that they were too expensive. One of their CSRs, however, sent me a private tweet and we were able to add more value to my services. Then, I was able to talk to another wonderful Verizon CSR last Friday that got me a pretty awesome deal on a new Samsung Galaxy Note 4. If you’re looking for a wireless carrier, I would suggest looking at Verizon. If you have Verizon but you’re thinking about leaving, like I was, give them a call and see what they can do for you! It’s supposed to arrive at my office today–eek! So excited!
3. My Target Beauty Box arrived, and I was very happy with the value vs. money spent ($7 for $27+ worth of items). The one thing that I wasn’t expecting to like was the lip product. I thought the color looked too blah, but I put it on and it turned out to be amazing! The feel of the product put me in mind of the NYX Butter Gloss.
4. Since I’ve had some downtime, I’ve been catching up on all of my blog reading. Caitlin over at Coffee with Caitlin posted this amazing tutorial for a DIY Mason Jar Chandelier! Isn’t it gorgeous?! I also finished the new Rick Riordan book I was talking about last week, as well as Jude Deveraux’s new book called Change of Heart.
5. Can I just say how much I love fall?! October to December is my favorite time of year! When we were back home last weekend, the hills were stunning with all the leaves changing colors. I’m also enjoying the cooler weather, because it means that I’m getting to wear this vest more (hold off on purchasing, though–this vest was cut down to $20 just a few days ago, so wait til it goes back on sale!).
Kane always looks so adorable. I can't wait to see the little guy again. I saw Caitlin's post. I really want to make one of these Chandeliers.

I had a pretty good and a pretty bad week. You have to read my post today about it all 🙂 http://runwright.net/2014/10/24/the-good-the-bad-and-the-funnies/
We've been on Verizon for a long while, too. One thing I believe their CEO said is that they're not out to be the cheapest company, but their coverage is the best. I agree. Their coverage can't be beat.
That mason jar chandelier looks amazing! I love how pretty the leaves look when they change!
Thanks for including our chandelier post 🙂
That's awesome that Verizon worked with you. I've always had them originally because they are the only ones that actually have coverage where my parents live and I grew up (the middle of nowhere) but I seem to have better luck with my GPS than most of my friends do.
Curious to see how you like the Note! I have the iPhone, but have considered switching. Of course, I have Apple everything so I'm not sure if I'll miss everything syncing so easily.

I've been seeing those Target beauty boxes pop up on a lot of blogs and I'm so intrigued to try it out – I think this may just be the final straw that gets me to finally get it out! Thanks for sharing – have a great weekend!! xoxo
LOVE that Target beauty box! I've never heard of that, thanks for sharing!
Happy Friday!
Love that mason jar chandelier! Your son looks adorable in that photo! Such a cutie!

I didn't know Target had beauty boxes like that! Thanks for the heads up!
Yay for cooler weather! That's so exciting. And I loved that Mason Jar chandelier too! Did your phone arrive today? It's early Christmas!! Hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks, Della! And I want to make one too, but I think Chauncey may kill me if I start another project right now.lol
Hope next week is better!
That phrase must be the 1st that all of their CSRs must learn! If I heard that once through various convos, I've heard it at least 30 times.lol It is good coverage though!
The red leaves are my favorite:) And the mason jar chandelier is so awesome!
You're welcome!
That's the reason we started out with Verizon too. I grew up living up a "holler" if that tells you anything.lol
I LOVE the new Note! I had the Note 2, and while I skipped the Note 3 (I just got the 2 before it was released), I think the Note 4 has some excellent features! I'm going to do a non-tech review in the next couple of weeks! If nothing else, you may want to consider the iPhone 6+.
You're welcome, and I hope you had a great weekend as well! I think you'll be pretty pleased if you choose to get this!
I love these beauty boxes from places like Target and Walmart, because it gives me a chance to try some drugstore brands that I may never try otherwise.
Thanks, Jill! He's cute but rotten to the core.lol
You're welcome:) Walmart has one as well that comes out 4 times per year.
Katie, I just checked out forecast for tomorrow, and it's supposed to be 81 degrees in Lex tomorrow?! So much for that cooler weather.lol The phone arrived and I LLLLLOOOOVVVEEE it:)
