February Ipsy Glam Bag

I thought this month’s Ipsy bag would never arrive.  Where we moved so quickly, I didn’t have time to change my address, so I had to wait for my mail to be forwarded.  It was especially hard to wait because the early sneakpeek of my Glam Room had me highly anticipating my glam bag’s arrival.

1. CARGO COSMETICS Mini Lip Gloss
Shade: Anguilla

My skin stays in some weird state where it’s combo skin by nature, but really dry because of my topical acne meds.  This product worked fairly well and I really liked the packaging of this sample.

2. HEY HONEY Take It Off Exfoliating Honey Peel Off Mask

I haven’t tried this product yet, but plan to do so soon.

3a. ‘TINI BEAUTY Rob Scheppy for ‘Tini Beauty Eyeshadow (not pictured)
Shade: Pearl Fizz
I was really excited to try this product, but it was broken on arrival.  The shade was very nude with a slight shimmer to it.  I’m hoping to be able to put it back together using the alcohol trick so that I can use it in the future.

3b. MEDUSAS MAKEUP Eyeshadow
Shade: Headhunter
This product was a replacement for my broken ‘Tini Beauty Eyeshadow.  The formula seems to go on smooth and had good color payoff.  I don’t know how much I’ll actually wear this shade, but it is quite pretty!

4. LUXIE BEAUTY Large Angled Face Brush 504
I love makeup brushes, so this was right up my alley.  This brush is great for apply the blush that also came in this month’s glam bag.  The bristles are soft and it blends really well.  This brush is $16 to buy, so that more than makes up for the $10 cost of the Glam Bag!!!

5. MODELCO Blush Cheek Powder
Shade: Cosmopolitan 01
What a great complement to go with the face brush!  I really love the consistency of this blush.  It’s easy to apply and the color is buildable.  The shade is perfect for spring to give your cheeks a pop of color.

For those of you who are on the fence about subscribing to Ipsy over Birchbox, you can read a little bit about why I chose to switch here.  I think Ipsy is better if you love makeup, while Birchbox is better if you like a mix of products (hair, beauty, etc.).
