Turquoise Necklace and White Skinny Jeans

The necklace in this post is sponsored by Helen’s Jewelry.  All opinions are my own.

There’s just something about styling outfits at the beach.  The location really inspires me–I love the bright colors against the backdrop of sand and surf.  Take the Snapper Jack’s building at Folly Beach, for instance.  Snapper Jack’s is a fun place to hang out with friends and get a drink! Then again, what else would you expect from such a brightly-colored building?  I was going to snap more pictures, but the heavens were opening up (see the rain drops on my shirt?).
How an outfit comes together is always different, but this outfit started with these white skinny jeans that are torn at the knee.  I say “jeans” because while these look like jeans, they’re more of a knit pant with a jean structure.  If you hate the see-through white pants, then these pants are for you.  They’re soft and forgiving.  The best part is that these have the torn knees that I’ve been seeing all over Instagram, but not the price tag.  As a rule of thumb, I don’t invest in destructed denim pieces, so when these were $10 off at Target a few weeks ago, I immediately ordered them.  They will carry well into fall to be paired with olive and oxblood as well.

I had originally planned on wearing another shirt with these jeans, but it just wasn’t working.  The top wasn’t meshing the way I wanted it to, so I spied this pink blouse in my suitcase and tried it on. BINGO!  The necklace and sandals quickly followed as the outfit fell together.  Don’t you love when that happens?!  The necklace, from Helen’s Jewels, is one of my favorite ones that was just added to my jewelry collection. The length is perfect, and the shape and marbling of the stone is beautiful!  It’s a statement piece without being overwhelming.  Popping it on with any shirt instantly ups the “put-together” factor of your look!  If you want to snag one for yourself, use code FIRSTBUY20 for 20% off your first purchase from Helen’s Jewels!
Oh, and I had a matching wristlet to shoot with this outfit, but there was no way I was sitting my LV down on the ground in the rain to get it out (Chauncey wouldn’t hold it for me).haha

After shooting these photos, we headed in to downtown Charleston for our last evening on vacation. Thankfully the rain let up on the drivev(white pants and rain do NOT mix).  We started the evening with a carriage tour of historic Charleston, and ended at Poogan’s Porch for dinner.
What do you think about the current torn knee/white denim trend?  Are you on the boat or off?
