On Saturday, I met up with several other members of the East Kentucky Blog Society for lunch and such. Brittany, Erin, and Nikki are a fun bunch to say the least–Brittany has a wonderful recap of the day here. Anyways, we took also took some outfit pictures, because duh, we’re bloggers and just can’t help ourselves. Below is the outfit I shot that day.
This past weekend was the first fall-like weather we’ve had (but now it’s back up to 80 degrees). I’ve been excited to bust out some fall fashion for a couple of weeks now. With temperatures in the 60s, the weekend weather provided me the opportunity to do so.
Two things I’m incorporating into my fall wardrobe are blanket scarves and leather accents. I freeze year-round, so I’m alllll about being cozy. Blanket scarves are not only warm, but they’re also a stylish accessory for any look. I have a plaid blanket scarf from last year, and I’m excited to add this crocheted blanket scarf to my closet this year! It’s a great pop of color that I look forward to incorporating on dreary days. If you’d like your own, I’ll share where to find one and how to enter to win one at the end of this post!!!
As for leather accents, I’ve seen them popping up everywhere this year!!! Here, my leggings have a “leather” stripe running down the side. These leggings are thicker than your usual leggings with a wide waistband that I love. I purchased them and the tee during Maurices’ end-of-summer clearance sale.
Speaking of the tee, I thought it paired perfectly with these jeweled slip-on sneakers from Target. My wardrobe tends to be stylish but comfortable, and these sneakers fit right in. I think they’re an unexpected and fun way to dress up any outfit.
My Instagram friend Jenna recently started making these scarves. Immediately after I double-tapped to the picture of the first one she made, I asked her to make one for me:) She has since started making them to sell. You can head over to her Instagram to check out her different scarves. To purchase (they’re $35), you can just comment on one of her photos with your Paypal email and color choice, and she can invoice you for your purchase. Also, between now and 11:59 p.m. eastern time next Thursday (Sept. 24) night, you can receive $5 off of your crocheted blanket scarf purchase by tagging me in your comment!!!
And it gets even better! Jenna and I are doing an Instagram giveaway–we’re giving away one crocheted blanket scarf to one follower in their choice of 10+ colors!!! Head on over to Instagram and look for the picture below for details on how to enter:
