Saying Goodbye to Summer. . .

Happy Labor Day!  I know that summer doesn’t officially end until later this month, but we all know that Labor Day is the unofficial goodbye to summer.  In honor of the occasion, I wanted to share one last summer outfit with you.  And the great thing about this post is that since it’s end-of-season, a lot of items are on sale for you to recreate this look:)
I wore this outfit one night while we were at Folly Beach in Charleston, SC.  Everyone always jokes about starting a story off with “It was a dark and stormy night. . .”, but it really was!  Chauncey and I had plans to head into downtown Charleston for some shopping and dining, but the sky was looking quite ominous as we were heading towards James Island from Folly Beach.  It was dark and stormy, so we just turned around and headed back to the Tides.  Since the storm didn’t really hit Folly Beach, I was able to sneak in these photos.
We headed to a nearby restaurant called Rita’s for dinner, right across the street from the hotel.  We had a little bit of rain, but nothing like what downtown Charleston got hit with.  They had some serious street flooding that night, and I’m glad we stayed put!

The shorts were a wonderful clearance find from Old Navy.  They have a flat front and zip up the side.  The material is great and really smoothing.  I think I paid less than $7 for them in store.  I’ve found them online for you, but they’re not as cheap:(  I also love how matchy-matchy they are with the octopus tee from J. Crew Factory.

And let’s talk about this necklace for a minute.  It’s another wonderful find from Helen’s Jewels! The blush color is perfect for transitioning into fall.  Sadly, it’s sold out, but the aqua option is still in stock and also perfect for fall! I will caution that this necklace only comes with an 18″ chain, so I actually used the chain from my turquoise necklace.  If you like the look of a longer chain, you could also use a necklace extended or two.  To grab one of these beauties for yourself, use code FIRSTBUY20 for 20% off your first purchase from Helen’s Jewels!

Finally, does anyone notice how THICK my hair looks?!  This was my first day trying out my new hair extensions from Irresistible Me.  A full review will be up on the blog later this month!!!

Goodbye, Summer!  Until next year. . .
