Budget InVESTments

Vests are one of fall’s hottest trends that will carry into the winter months.  Vests are great layering pieces that can be used to polish off a casual outfit or just to stay warm.  For someone who freezes year-round like me, they’re perfect!

I love vests, but I think some options are outrageously priced.  Old Navy is usually my go-to for vests, but Walmart has really stepped up their vest game.  Here are my picks for incorporating the vest trend into your fall and winter wardrobe at very reasonable prices.

Have no idea what to wear with a vest?  Start off with a basic long-sleeved tee and add a long necklace before popping on your vest. You can also layer it over a button-up shirt worn with a statement necklace.  To see how I styled the buffalo check vest over a dress, click here.

Also, sorry for the delay in posting this week.  I have felt terrible for several months–super tired with headaches.  I found out at the doctor last week that I’ve been fighting a low-grade strep throat infection the entire time:(  The good news is that I think I’m finally on the mend.  I just needed some time to try to rest and allow my body to get better.

Be sure to stop back by tomorrow–someone is turning 29 (for the 1st time, I swear) and some of my friends are helping to celebrate by co-hosting a fabulous giveaway of a couple of my favorite things!
