How I Style It: Layering Plaids

Today I’m linking up with my blogging buddies for this month’s installment of our “How I Style It” link-up!  This is a monthly linkup where we all get together to show you how we style our favorite fashion trends, and invite you to join us in showing off your passion for fashion as well! You can meet the hosts down below:)
Today is all about plaid.  Break out your favorite plaid(s), then grab the button and use the hashtag #plaidaboutit to join in on the fun!
I think we’re all aware of how much I love plaid. . .that cat got outta the bag a lllooonngg time ago. Plaid is such a versatile pattern.  It can be worn alone or paired with another pattern, and it can be dressed up or dressed down. Here I chose to pop a brightly colored sweater over mine for the contrast, which gave it a color-block effect.  I’m loving plaids with lots of blues and greens it them this year.  While this one is currently sold out, I linked some other Old Navy options below, and I think that 2 of them are just $12!!!
I also had to pair my leopard flats with this outfit. Leopard is my favorite neutral pattern, and it just works well with plaids.  I’ve never met a plaid that didn’t look good worn with a leopard print.  These two patterns are an effortless way to mix patterns and look put together!
