Glam NYE Nails + My Favorite Posts from 2015

I love glitter and sparkle any time of the year, but I especially love it for New Year’s Eve!  Whether you’re watching the ball drop live in Times Square, at a party, or at home, everyone can feel a little festive with some glam NYE nails.

I wanted simple nails that still made a statement.  Here’s what supplies I used to create my glam NYE nail look:
Black nail polish (kit of 3 minis, includes great silver glitter option!)
I began by priming all of my nails with the OPI Nail Envy treatment in Matte.  I’ve used this as a base coat on and off for several years and it’s a great strengthening treatment for your nails.  Next, I painted all of my nails with two coats of the black nail polish.  Then, I picked one nail (my default is the ring finger) on each hand and applied two coats of glitter nail polish over the black.  Finally, I finished my nails with one layer of the OPI Nail Envy as a matte topcoat on all of the nails that were painted black, and two coats of the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat over the glitter nails.

I really like the mix of the matte black nails with the glossy glitter accents!  Warning, though, if you’ve never used matte nail polish before–it shows every little nick and wear is apparent much more quickly than with regular shiny nails.
Also, since the year is coming to a close, I wanted to share my favorite posts from this year!  I picked one from each month to share with you, and I’d love to hear what kind of posts you’d like to see in 2016!!!
April: Lilly for Target Haul (spoiler: I killed it)
(or anyone else who is in a suit on occasion)
