Casual Valentine’s Day Outfit

Chauncey and I usually keep Valentine’s Day fairly casual–we have dinner at Ted’s Montana Grill because we can make reservations and they don’t have a set menu, which is key for a picky eater like myself (Chauncey is the exact opposite).  Then we usually head to a movie afterwards.  So I like to keep my outfit casual as well.  Della from Della Devoted and I teamed up this weekend to bring you two cute, casual looks for Valentine’s Day.  Be sure to stop by and check out her outfit as well!

Here, I’ve paired a darling polka dot button-up with a red sweater.  The basketweave sweaters from Kohl’s are probably my favorite go-to sweater, and they’re very affordable.  And nothing says Valentine’s Day like red + pink together, so I made sure to mix in a healthy dose of pink.

My pink roses necklace is from Walmart.  Walmart had these last summer for $5, and I found this one on clearance for $3.  J. Crew Factory has brought this style of necklace back out this year, so it seems like the prices I found for this style of necklace are a little higher online than usual.  Keep a check on Walmart to see if they show back up there.  Also, I’m loving my Purple Peridot bracelet paired with these adorable glitter heart earrings from Charming Charlie (only $6), especially topped off with my Lucky Peanuty tassel bracelet.
