Tassels + Holograms for Spring

OK, guys, I did it. . .I’ve thrown together all of my favorite spring trends into one post for you. Distressed denim is pretty much my go-to for weekends because while I love it, I can’t wear it to work. For a Wardrobe Re-Wear of sorts, you can see other distressed denim looks here, here, and here. I like finding new ways to wear the same things, and distressed denim is no exception.

To dress up my distressed denim, I paired it with a gorgeous tassel fringe top from Purple Peridot. Purple Peridot is my go-to for cheap, on-trend accessories, and the shop just recently started carrying apparel. The material of this shirt is soft and forgiving. It’s also sized a little bit big with some swing to the bottom hemline. I can never have too many tassel things.

Right now, I want all of the holographic/iridescent items I can get my hands on.  When I saw this bag from the Coach Outlet, I knew I had to have it. They also carry a tote in the hologram leather, but I think these bags sell out pretty quickly.  For my fellow Disney fans, I call it my Zenon purse. . .it makes me feel like a supernova girl for sure!  I also picked up my holographic earrings on the same shopping trip.  They’re such a great size and they literally go with everything.  Plus, they’re a cheap way to hop on the hologram accessories bandwagon (the purse isn’t, but it’s still reasonably priced).

When it comes to sunglasses, big funky shapes are in.  For those less adventurous, a square pair of sunnies are a perfect way to try the trend without going overboard.  The ones I’m wearing still have classic touches.
And let’s talk about these heels! Normally, I hate heels because they are the devil. These heels, however, are different.  I snagged them for less than $12 on sale at Payless a couple of weeks ago, and I’m still surprised at the quality of the shoe for the price! The shoes are ultra comfortable for a heel and have a perfect heel height.  Bonus points for being pastel blue!!!

So what spring trends are you tossing on together this year???  And don’t forget to check out my post about three brushes to use to extend your hairstyle (a follow-up to my How I Achieve 5-Day Hair post).
