Today’s guest blogger is Nicole from What Nicole Wore. Nicole is another Kentucky fashion blogger. She’s from Louisville, but is a HUGE UK fan–go CATS! When I say our style is similar, I mean it, because I have the shorts from this post and a very similar leopard clutch.

Hi! I’m Nicole and I blog over at What Nicole Wore; I’m super excited to be guest posting on Bright on a Budget while Tif’s on vacation this week {#jealous} and accordingly am sharing a colorful summer outfit today with one of my amazing recent budget finds!
We all have items that we longingly watch for a {huge} sale on and one of mine over the past two years is the blogger favorite, Clare V calf hair leopard clutch. I’ve looked at every sale that ShopBop and Nordstrom have had and still hadn’t been able to pull the trigger. Lots of boutiques have come out with leopard clutches but none of them have been exactly what I was looking for. #FirstWorldProblems
I’ve loved the texture and colors that are part of the Clare V clutch but $245 was just not happening for this girl – so sad. During one of my regular eBay browsing sessions I came across this leopard clutch and tried not to get my hopes up too much. This leopard clutch was $40 with free shipping and is exactly what I’ve been looking for the past couple years! I was beyond thrilled when I opened up my package to this beautiful clutch. The texture feels very luxe, the clutch is a great size {I can fit my full size wallet inside} and I love the pretty gold zipper. If you’re looking for a leopard clutch and don’t want to break the bank, I’d highly recommend this one as it is reasonably priced, a great quality and arrived to my mailbox in about a week.
This druzy tassel necklace from Modern and Chic was perfect with this outfit; I wanted a fun necklace but I wanted it to still be visible under my jacket. I probably wouldn’t have picked out an orange necklace on my own, but I’ve gotten a ton of wear out of this piece and it goes really well with the embroidered detail on the jacket.
I snagged this blue and white printed jacket back in the winter because the color combo is my absolute favorite and I’m so excited to get to wear it now during the summer months. The jacket really speaks for itself so I wore it over a plain white tank so that the fun print and tassels could really shine. I originally had planned to wear this with white jeans, but it has been pretty hot and very humid lately so I switched things up and pulled out my mint shorts.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and thank you to Tif for letting me take over your blog for the day! I hope to see you over on my blog sometime soon; you can also catch me on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter!
