High Five for Friday 06.17.16: Beach Vacation + Anniversary

TGIF, H54F-ers!!! Della at Della Devoted, Katie at Cup of Tea, and myself want to welcome you to the link-up and the weekend. We made it!

Today’s featured blogger is Kate from The Neat Nook, a lifestyle blog. Kate is a part-time creative consultant and mom. She has some awesome camping hacks, and I love her post on Flag Day etiquette–bookmarking both!

I just got back from vacation late last night, so I’m exhausted! It’s been an awesome week, so let’s recap the highlights:

1. Kane’s birthday party was back home on Saturday. He went non-stop, and LOVED his new dinosaur bicycle!

2. Chauncey and I left for vacation the next morning. We stayed at Tides Folly Beach just outside of Charleston. I loved that they were proudly flying the flag, showing unity with Orlando.

3. Chauncey and I celebrated our 7th anniversary on Monday! We spent the day at the beach and then headed to downtown Charleston that evening. We grabbed dinner at Poogan’s Porch and then went to the Bar at Husk afterwards for Chauncey to have some bourbon. Chauncey is always so thoughtful with his gifts–he got me my very first pair of REAL pearl earrings, to match the pearl ring I got in Charleston last year. I got him $100 of “Bourbon Bucks” (a $100 Visa giftcard), since he was search for some rare bourbons while we were there. Also, today is my parents’ anniversary, so happy anniversary to my mom and dad!

4, We love the history of Charleston, so several nights were spent out exploring. I also did some shopping on King’s Street and came away with the You Gotta Regatta pop-up print release from Lilly!

5. We left the beach and headed home yesterday. I always wear a Kentucky shirt on the way home and snap a pic on the beach before I leave. While we loved vacay, it was so nice to have Kane’s arms around my neck last night!
