I will a be hosting a styling class about How to Accessorize at Francesca’s Lexington Green location THIS Friday, July 15, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Stop by and shop with me! The location is 161 Lexington Green Circle, B18, Lexington, KY 40503. Stay afterwards to grab a drink or a bite to eat at Lakeside Live while listening to live music.

While hosting the styling class at White House Black Market‘s Lexington Green location last Friday (recap and quick tips for how to dress for your body shape here), I fell in love with this outfit! I hopped on the off-the-shoulder bandwagon earlier this year, but the cold should trend is one I had had avoided. Then I tried on this top and suddenly changed my mind. It doesn’t bother me to shop my arms, but it’s a perfect trend for those who you who want to try bare shoulders but like to cover your upper arms.
This outfit is perfect for my body shape because I have an hourglass figure. The top nips in at the waist (it has rusching). The pants are a slim fit, which is my fav, and they hit right at my ankle. One of my tips from from this post is that regardless of your height, ankle pants tend to be flattering, as are wedges.
Accessory-wise, I kept the jewelry classy and neutral. The pearl necklaces are actually one necklace that’s layered. I’m a fan of the layered look, and this necklace does all the work for you. I also tossed on my new Kendra Scott necklace from my latest Rocksbox (use code BRIGHTONABUDGETXOXO to get your 1st month FREE). And of course I carried my new Kate Spade flamingo tote. It’s from the outlet so it’s not online, but I was able to snag it for $50!
What do you think of the cold-shoulder trend?
