LATEST LILLY PULITZER AFTER PARTY SALE INFORMATION
UPDATE 09.09.18: The September 2018 Lilly Pulitzer kicks off online tomorrow morning (09.10.18). I expect Amazon and Zappos to have their sales live at 3 a.m. eastern time in the morning. I suggest adding everything to your cart tonight, then check your cart at 3 a.m. to see what actually goes on sale. Delete what isn’t and checkout. The Lilly Pulitzer website will go live at 8 a.m. eastern time.You will NOT be able to shop from the Lilly app this year. Check back in the morning for all of my sale pics before 8 am!
I already shopped the sale in store. Mermaids Cove, Aboat Time, and Boho Bateau are some of the prints that will be on sale. I snagged both the Aboat Time Skipper Popover and Mermaids Cove Skipper Tunic Popover, a pair of the boys shorts in Stuffed Shells, and a tank in Tropic Like It’s Hot. The sale kicked off in-store on Saturday. If you can’t find what you want on the website, call a Lilly corporate store and ask if they can track the item down for you.
UPDATE 08/28/17 4:30 am eastern time: Amazon and Zappos both seem to have good prices and good selections, but the Zappos prices appear to be hidden. You have to click through to each individual product and select a color to see if it’s on sale + price.
The Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale is quickly approaching. If you’re unfamiliar with the After Party Sale, let me fill you in–the APS is Lilly’s semi-annual clearance sale that happens twice a year, in January and in August. The Lilly sale can be difficult to shop, but if you follow my tips below, things should go pretty smoothly for you.
# 1 How to Shop the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale: Put together a game plan.
This is the #1 most important thing to do. You should approach this sale like a general planning his battlefield strategy. Make a list of items that you hope will be at the sale, including styles and prints. While you can browse everything, people are going to go straight for their must-have items and they will sell out quickly. I like to have a list of items that I can search for in the search bar. If you’re unsure about sizing and have a Lilly store nearby, head on in to try some things on in advance. FYI, I think that all items may be final sale, so be sure to watch for the fine print. UPDATE: I was able to return items to Amazon that I purchased during the sale, but that’s the only site I’m aware of that will accept returns.
#2 How to Shop the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale: Create an account on the Lilly website in advance and stay signed in.
You don’t want to waste time once you’re in the sale, so be sure to create or sign in to your account beforehand. The website will go offline around 7 a.m. eastern time to prepare for the sale, therefore you’ll need to do everything the night before.
#3 How to Shop the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale: Have your credit card informations saved to your account.
This goes hand-in-hand with #2. Also, double-check your shipping information beforehand to make sure it’s right.
#4 How to Shop the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale: Be online at 7:59 a.m. eastern time.
I like to get situated in front of the computer around 7:45 a.m. Once the clock rolls to 7:58 a.m., I’m on the website, and I start refreshing at 7:59 a.m. Be sure to not be too click happy, though, because once the website pops up, you cannot refresh or you will lose your place in line. The website will tell you what your place is in line, as well as an estimated wait time. In my experience, it never takes as long to get into the sale as the estimated wait time says it will.
#5 How to Shop the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale: Have multiple devices ready to go.
I have my account logging in on one device, and Chauncey’s account logged in on another. As soon as I get in line on the website on one device, I get my place in line on the other device so I can shop twice fairly close together. Last time around, once you checked out, you were placed in the back of the line, so the two-device plan comes in handy.
#6 How to Shop the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale: Enable push notifications.
Lilly usually posts flash sales on both their Facebook and Instagram. Enable push notifications for both accounts, because the flash sale items go quick!
#7 How to Shop the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale: Shop other websites!
Here’s something I didn’t realize the first time I shopped the sale–other websites and stores will be joining in on the fun as well! Caution though–some prices will be higher than the APS prices, some will be lower, and some places will price-match if you ask. I was able to grab my must-have item from Splash of Pink in Connecticut the night before the sale. Amazon has an awesome selection that I think goes live around 3 a.m. eastern time (someone correct me if I’m wrong), and they usually include some items that are more current and not included in the sale on the Lilly website. 6pm.com is another place to check! In my experience, Amazon and 6pm.com have the best prices–6pm.com had the best prices for the August 2016 sale, while Amazon had the best prices for the January 2017 sale. And pro tip–if what you want sells out online, have a list of Lilly signature stores that you can call, like The Peppermint Palm, Pink Bee Westend, or Palm Avenue! Some Belk stores do carry Lilly in-store, and I hear they have great prices during the APS.
