Hunter Boots for Winter

Did any of you catch Monday’s post about my clothing ordeal this past weekend? If not, you can get caught up to speed here.  So this is the only outfit I had with me–luckily I wore it while traveling. I’m just glad I dressed decent while traveling because Chauncey and I went out on a date night later in the evening to celebrate our 14 year dating anniversary.

Coat: J. Crew Factory (more colors here–save 50% off w/ code SHOPNOW) // Tunic: Maurices (similar) // Necklace: Kendra Scott via Rocksbox–use code TIFBFF to get your 1st month FREE // Pom-pom beanie: Target (almost identical) // Leggings: Nordstrom // Boots: Hunter boots (also in color ocean) via Clothes Mentor  // Boot socks (not pictured): Hunter Handbag: Tory Burch Outlet (smaller version on sale here) // Sunglasses: Quay

I’m loving Hunter boots for winter! They’re just so fun and add the best pops of color to your outfit. Since they don’t really have a lining, I recommend pairing them with some boot socks for warmth.  I would’ve been wearing my new Hunter boot socks that Chauncey got me for Christmas, but since they were left behind in Lexington, that was a no-go.haha I know that Hunter boots can be quite the investment–I think the $150 price tag is outrageous.  That’s why I purchased mine at my favorite resale shop, Clothes Mentor Lexington.  You can follow them on Instagram and they will ship to you. I’m also linking some Hunter boot options that are on sale for around $100 or less!
Sometimes it can be a struggle to transition your darker colored clothing after Christmas, but I like to pair my darker shades with unexpected lighter colors.  Here, I’m loving the burgundy and turquoise mix. The colors pair well together.  And I used black to anchor the entire look through my leggings and accessories. My pom-pom beanie was actually a $5 find at the Target dollar spot.
Have you taken your Hunter boots out for a spin this winter?
