I hope that everyone had a safe and fun time ringing in the New Year! If you follow along on Snapchat (@brightonabudget) or Instagram, then you know that we were on the couch in our pajamas to watch the ball drop. OK, and Kane and I may have annoyed Chauncey with some NYE noisemakers we found at the dollar spot at Target.haha
Top: SheIn (other lantern sleeve options) // Pants: Joe Fresh (similar–tons of colors!) Necklace: Necklace: Rocksbox–use code TIFBFF to get your 1st month FREE // Shoes: Old Navy (similar) // Tote: Nordstrom (similar)
This top is such a fun option if you work in an office! It’s a romantic take on your standard button down. The billowy sleeves are actually called lantern sleeves. Billowy and ruffled sleeves actually started trending mid-last year. There’s tons of lantern sleeve options here. When ordering, be sure to go by the actual measurements on the item instead of just your usual size.
This winter, I’ve been all about texture. I love the richness of suede, velvet, and cords, especially when mixed together. Since my top is smooth, I added a lot of texture to this outfit with my pants, shoes, and tote. Plus the various jewel tones play well against each other.
Did anyone make any New Year’s resolutions? I know it’s so cliche, but I’m starting a fitness kick and I’m actually motivated. Is anyone else with me? I also want to work on being more organized in the New Year, and check some items off our to-do list for the house.

Nice to meet you!
