I’m so happy that spring has finally arrived! I love switching over to my spring wardrobe, but I also like to switch up my beauty routine as well. I aim for a bright, glowy look that screams spring. So I thought I’d share three easy ways to brighten up your beauty routine for spring to get that sun-kissed look.
1. Switch out your deep nude and burgundy shades of makeup from winter for cheery peaches and pinks.
For fall and winter makeup, I tend to wear a lot of deep nude and burgundy shades. For spring, however, I love to brighten up my face with cheery peach and pink shades. Think peach, coral, light pink, hot pink, and even some light to bright purples for eyeshadows. Corals and deep pinks look gorgeous for lips and blush.
2. Use whitening toothpaste to make your teeth pop against all the pretty spring lipsticks.
Many coral and pink makeup shades are warmer in nature, which can in turn make your teeth look yellow. To combat this, I like to use one of the new generation of whitening toothpastes that are out now. These toothpastes are perfect if your teeth are too sensitive for whitening strips.
3. Use a gradual self-tanner for a natural, healthy glow.
I never use the tanning bed due to the danger of skin cancer, and I always use sunscreen when I’m going to be out in the sun for a period of time. So my skin never has a glow come springtime. I recently discovered JERGENS® Natural Glow® Wet Skin Moisturizer and I’m in love! I hate most self-tanners because who wants to be orange?! Not me. I want a natural-looking, healthy glow, and that’s what I get with this product. I use the Fair to Medium shade, but it also comes in Medium to Tan.
JERGENS® Natural Glow® Wet Skin Moisturizer is so easy to apply. You use it in the shower or after you get out of the bathtub–the trick is to NOT dry off first. Apply the product all over your body, be sure to use sparingly over your knuckles, knees, ankles, and in-between your fingers. Wash your hands right after using, paying special attention to your palms. After applying, towel dry off for a streak-free application.
The amounts I apply:
– Nickel-sized amounts on each arm.
– Gold dollar-sized amounts on both front and back, from neck to stomach/bottom.
– Quarter-sized amounts on each side of the tops of my legs and bottoms of my legs.
This product works by building your glow gradually. You apply every night (for up to 7 nights) to get the shade you want, and then you apply every other night to maintain. You can also tan all over when you add in the JERGENS® Natural Glow® FACE Daily Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 20–just use like you would your normal face moisturizer.
Here are my results. This is my BEFORE picture:

Overall, I’m very pleased with how everything turned out! For more information, check out JERGENS® on social media. You can find them on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
You can purchase this product online at Walmart here, or in the moisturizer aisle in-store. Be aware that JERGENS® Natural Glow® Wet Skin Moisturizer is located in a different area that other JERGENS® Natural Glow® products–at my Walmart, it was located several shelves below the rest of the JERGENS® Natural Glow® line.
It looks great! It’s definitely nice to have a little glow in spring!
Thanks, Becky! And I agree!
That looks nice. Very subtle!
Thanks, Dara! That’s what I like about it!
What a simple way to add a bit of color to your skin. I tan so easily… I am just naturally dark!
I do if I’m out in the sun. But I try to avoid that now unless I’m at the beach. Even then, I have on sunscreen galore!
Ooooo I definitely want to try this out! Also that purple lipstick – ays
You’d love both!
Great look for spring!
Thanks, Cecilia!
I def need to try that gradual self tanner!
For sure!
It seems like a good product!
It really is!
Just this weekend I put away my burgundy and deep berry lipsticks (with great sadness, those are my favorites!). I pulled out a few coral and bright pink ones but wasn’t quite sure if that was the right move for spring. Thanks for the confirmation! 🙂
I have a sample of the wet skin moisturizer but haven’t used it yet. I’m so fair that I’m always hesitant to end up too orange! 🙂

It’s so hard to switch our faves shades out! With the wet skin moisturizer, it builds gradually. So if by Day 5, you feel like you have enough color, then go to using it every other day.
Man I’m so hesitant to put away my dark lipsticks, I just like them so much 🙂
Haha. It’s hard! Maybe try a deep but brighter pink?
Very nice!! I should pick some of that up. 🙂 I always wear sunscreen as well.
Wow, your “tan” looks great!!! I feel so much better when I have a little sun!
