I love a good festive red, white, and blue outfit for the 4th of July. Whether I’m wearing stars and stripes or colorblocking, I love putting together a patriotic outfit. This casual look is great for a backyard barbecue or pool party.

Festive Red, White, and Blue Outfit for the 4th of July
If you’re looking to keep cool in this summer’s heat, I definitely suggest added some oversized tees into your closet rotation. I’ve been going up one size in all the tees I’ve bought this summer. You can leave them untucked or go for a half-tuck.
When it comes to shorts, I’ve been purchasing a lot of mine with a scallop hem. This trend was first made popular by Lilly Pulitzer, and I love that more brands have been picking it up. My shorts are on super clearance in very limited sizes, but there are more colors that are in full stock.
Here, for my festive red, white, and blue outfit, I’ve went with a bold color blocking scheme. You don’t have to copy this exactly to be able to pull off the look–go with one color shirt, a second color for you shorts, and then add accessories in a third color. For shoes, keep it simple with either a black, white, or nude pair.
How do you plan on celebrating July 4th?
