Nicole from What Nicole Wore and I are so excited to bring today’s post to you because it combines two of our favorite things–we’re talking about friendship goals with Kendra Scott. For those of you who don’t know, Nicole and I are both from Kentucky, and even lived in the Lexington, Kentucky at the same time, but we didn’t know each other then. (Side note: isn’t that how life works sometimes?) We actually met through Instagram, after she had already moved back to Louisville, and we quickly connected through our love of fashion. Over the past year or so, we have become best blogging buddies that have turned into real life friends. We frequently bounce ideas off each other, storm up collaboration ideas, and share our shopping finds. But we also get real with each other about life, blogging, and everything in-between.
We try to get together often, so we were so excited when Kendra Scott invited us out to have a Color Bar party at their newest store at the Summit at Fritz Farm!!! Uh, yes please! Nicole and I have been Kendra Scott fan girls for a llloooonnngg time. 
In case you haven’t heard, the Kendra Scott Color Bar is where you can create your very own custom-designed piece of Kendra Scott jewelry. You can select from a multitude of styles of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. You can customize the metal and stone. It’s amazing because you get to play with all the pieces and see how things look before you finalize what you want. How cool is that?! I will warn you, though, that it’s hard to make a decision!! If you don’t live near a Kendra Scott store, you can even do this online here.
The funny thing about Nicole and I is that we like many of the same things. We always style things differently, but we have many of the same pieces! So of course we were both drawn to the gunmetal necklaces. I wanted another Rayne necklace, while Nicole decided to go with the Teo necklace style because it has an adjustable length. We also chose magnesite stones–mine is the coral while Nicole’s is the turquoise. These necklaces are a great take on the best friend necklaces that will always remind us of each other–similar but still unique!
The girls in the Lexington Kendra Scott store at The Summit at Fritz Farm are so fun to work with. Sierra and Emilee made the experience super fun! As part of our Color Bar Party, they even supplied macaroons and drinks. And FYI–the lights behind the color bar DO change colors!!!! We were playing around, and as soon as they lit the backlights up like a rainbow, I was like STOP!!!!
After the party, Nicole stayed in Lexington to have dinner with Chauncey, Kane, and I. It was such a great friend day!!!
Sometimes, in blogging and even in daily life, it seems that there’s so much competition. And that’s not the way it should be. Collaboration should win over competition every day of the week. We should not only be strong women, but we should seek out the friendships of other strong women. I’m lucky to have Nicole as a friend. I admire her strength and determination, as well as her sense of humor (if you only saw the # of eye roll and side eye emojis we send each other.hahaha). She keeps me in check and encourages me when I’m down. I deeply value our friendship and am so thankful for it. I love Kendra Scott jewelry. I have bought it as gifts for my daughters and mother but still do not own any. My favorites are most all of it but I would love the Zena Drop Earrings In Gold.
