Happy Monday! I’m writing this post from Folly Beach, SC, right outside of Charleston. We roadtripped it down from Lexington, KY yesterday, so I wanted to share my vacation travel outfit with you. FYI–Chauncey was like, “This isn’t a vacation outfit.” And he’s right. . . it’s what you wear when you’re traveling for vacation!

Top: Old Navy–use code HURRY to grab it under $10! // Culottes: Maurices (almost identical under $20) // Bow slides: Target (splurge option here) // Handbag: Louis Vuitton via Clothes Mentor // Sunnies: Quay // Earrings: Sugarfix via Target // Lips: NYX Matte Lipstick in Unicorn Fur

What to Wear for Vacation Travel

When traveling for vacation, I like for my outfit to be comfortable above all else. Whether you’re driving in a car or hustling through the airport, you need clothes that flow.  I also like for my outfit to keep me warm, so I tend to wear capris or leggings.

This “Yes Way to Vacay” tee was the perfect top for vacation travel!!! I paired it with a pair of flowy black culottes I’ve had for several years (can’t believe they’re coming back in style!). A good idea is to also pack a lightweight scarf to wear in case you get cold. Mine isn’t pictured but it’s in my bag.

When traveling, I keep it minimal when it comes to accessories. Since I’m wearing a dangly pair of earrings, I bypassed wearing a necklace. And I rarely wear bracelets when I travel, because they get hung in my travel bags when I’m lugging them around. I also always make sure to have a pair of oversized sunnies on hand, and to wear shoes that slide on and off easily.

For a handbag, I always carry my trusty Louis Vuitton Speedy 25. It’s the perfect size for carrying my essentials and my DSLR camera too! Yes, it’s an investment piece, but I suggest keeping an eye on resale shops, like Clothes Mentor. I got mine when it was less than 9 months old for over half off of retail price. If you do go this route, be sure to have the bag authenticated.

Are you traveling this summer?  What do you like to wear when traveling?

Nice to meet you!
