Weekend Wear: Tropical Print Tank + Pearl Slide Sandals [and GIVEAWAY]

On Saturday, Chauncey, Kane and I headed out to the Summit at Fritz Farm for the afternoon. I really wanted to Grimaldi’s Pizza, which just opened.  It was delicious!  We also popped into Bath & Body Works to smell the new fall candles (I’m really wanting the Bourbon Butterscotch) and swung by Lush for some new bath bombs. Kane even picked out his own bath bomb:) It was definitely a laid back afternoon out and about, so I wore this tropical print tank and pearl sandals.

Tropical Print Tank

Becky actually snagged this tropical print tank for me at her local Walmart for around $5.  The print is so vibrant and the material is actually lightweight and breathable. It honestly reminds me of a Lilly Pulitzer print but with a black background instead of pink.

I love the blue color in the print, and wanted to pull that color out, so I paired it with these blue Boardwalk shorts from J. Crew Factory.  These are probably the most comfortable shorts that still look put-together because they have a stretchy waistband.  They’re so easy to pull-on and go. And continuing with the blue theme, I added my favorite Sugarfix earrings. The pom-pom earrings are a fun addition to any outfit.

Pearl Slide Sandals

Pearl slide sandals have been everywhere this summer.  I had my eye on the Steve Madden pearl slide sandals, but couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger at that price tag.  Well, once again, Target swoops in to save the day with this $25 version. I was really impressed with these pearl slide sandals for the price. The shoe is fairly comfortable and the pearls are so pretty. They come in both nude and black.  I recommend snagging these before they sell out.  And yes, while we’re winding down summer, these will be good for next spring and summer too!

LipSense Party

Have you heard about LipSense? It’s a long-wearing lip color that doesn’t smudge or budge! It lasts for 4 to 18 hours depending on your body’s chemistry. Here, I’m wearing 1 layer of Purple Reign with 2 layers of Party Pink.  It’s the perfect lip color for weddings, special events, business meetings, and pictures. Plus, Chauncey no longer lives in fear of hot pink lip prints on his face.haha
