High Five for Friday 12.15.17: Snow + Christmas Spirit

TGIF!!! Della at Della Devoted, Katie at Cup of Tea, Becky from BYBMG, and myself want to welcome you to the High Five for Friday link-up and the weekend. We made it! High Five for Friday is where we come together to share five highlights from the past week each Friday.

High Five for Friday Link-up

This week’s highlights:

1. Friday night was family night.  We ordered pizza, then finally decorated our Christmas tree while watching Home Alone 2. Kane had a great time helping to put ornaments on the tree.  His favorite part may have been unwrapping each ornament.  There’s nothing like a decorated Christmas tree all lit up.

2. Saturday was so busy!  I rolled out of bed and headed up to Ikea. Ikea had a dresser on sale that we needed for Kane’s room, and I was also on the hunt for a cube storage solution for our playroom. It started SNOWING while I was in Ohio.  By the time I arrived back in Kentucky, we had a pretty good coating. I shot a quick look for the blog, and then we headed to a friend’s birthday party.  Everyone had a great time–especially Kane, who got everyone to play his Toilet Trouble game with him.

3. Sunday we drove out to Shaker Village for a mini Christmas photo shoot (you can see my outfit here). Then we stopped by for a visit with Santa at Lexington Green, before I headed to Sephora to pick up some goodies.  We finished the day with dinner at Rooster’s, which satisfied my pregnancy craving of the day.haha

4. The Elf is back!  Kane’s elf Bug appeared on the tree Wednesday morning, with a note warning Kane not to

5. The great clean-out is still going on.  I finished going through ALL of Kane’s 9m-3t clothes. While his room looked like an episode of Hoarders one night this week, it’s all sorted by size now.  It’s so hard to get rid of his clothes, so I’m keeping two tote-fulls.  Is anyone else like that?
