Merry Christmas + Happy Holidays [Christmas Card Pictures + Holiday Outfit Inspiration]

I’m so excited to share our family Christmas cards with you today! We took these pictures on a FREEZING day a couple of weekends ago.  It’s was so cold, and Kane had just woken up from a nap (WHINY!). We drove quite a ways out of town to go to Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill for our Christmas mini session with Laura Leigh Photography. If you’re looking for an afforable photography in central Kentucky who takes stunning pictures, be sure to check her out!

When I look at these pictures, I tear up, because I look at these pictures and think about our past year.  In these pictures, I was 25 weeks (almost 26 weeks) pregnant. At the beginning of the year, we didn’t even know for sure if another child was in the cards for us. There were just so many factors at play, but at the end of the day, we made the decision to try for a second child and things worked out. It’s been a very emotional journey over the past 12 months, but also a very rewarding one.

Honestly, this has been one of the most joyful times in my life, and I’m taking time to savor the moment.  This holiday season is a big one for us, as it will be Kane’s last as an only child.  That makes it a little bitter sweet.  We’re trying to take time to make memories and soak everything in.  I don’t think that all of childhood has to be magical, but I definitely want to make sure Kane has some magical moments around the holidays.

I want to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays this year!  My hope is that whatever holiday you may be celebrating is filled with togetherness and love:)
