Best Black Maternity Pants to Wear to Work

I’ve been on a mission to find the BEST black maternity dress pants the entire time I’ve been pregnant. It’s been a Goldilocks mission to find a pair that was just right. My requirements list was simple: the pants had to have a full panel, the length had to be ankle-ish, and the material had to be thick. After months of searching, these are the best black maternity pants to wear to work, and they’re $35 or less!

BEST BLACK MATERNITY PANTS FOR WORKWEAR

The non-maternity Old Navy Pixie Pants have been my go-to workwear pants for a long time, because they come in a variety of prints and colors. Typically, however, I wear them in long length for the ankle version, or in a regular length in the long version so that they hit right at my ankle.  I shied away from the maternity option for so long because they didn’t have multiple length options. So I tried this pair (currently on sale for 40% off) and they were just OK (I do recommend them if you need different length options though).

Finally, I gave up and ordered the Old Navy Maternity Pixie Pants, even though I thought they’d be too short. And they worked! They’re just a hair shorter than I like, but overall, they are the best black maternity pants for workwear. I love that they’re the premium full panel, which means they have a waistband that goes all the way around the pants, with the full panel above.

Black workwear pants go with almost anything.  I chose to wear them with this non-maternity black and lilac striped top.  Pastels paired with black are a great way to start transitioning your wardrobe towards spring.  And the little ruffles at the shoulder add a fun touch.  With spring in mind, I added white jewelry.  You saw the necklace in this outfit last week, and you’ll be seeing both pieces with more outfits as we head into spring.

Hope you have a fantastic Monday!
