Unicorn Baby Shower Brunch

A few weeks ago, we had our (second) baby shower in Lexington, Kentucky at the Hamburg Farms clubhouse. We wanted something fun and easy. Since we’re having a baby girl, we decided on a unicorn themed baby shower brunch. It was a blast!

UNICORN BABY SHOWER DECORATIONS

My friends who hosted the shower are just as busy as I am, so we didn’t have time to spend on making decorations. Thankfully, there’s a new party service in Lexington called BashBox. With BashBox, you select from one of their available themes and rent the decorations. You simply pick up a box of decor a day or two before your celebration, and return it after your event. Our theme came with the huge unicorn hanger over the cake table, 3 centerpieces, several sequin and plain tablecloths, banners, a paper mache unicorn, and some other assorted decorations. SO EASY!!!

PRO TIP: If you don’t have a cake stand, pop a box under your tablecloth and set the cake on it!

EASY BRUNCH BABY SHOWER FOOD

For food, we kept the fare simple and light. We had my favorite donuts from Spalding Bakery, some strawberry poptarts, and fruit. For drinks, we had orange juice, mimosas, and water. The “glassware” are simply plastic flutes from Hobby Lobby.

What’s a unicorn party without a unicorn cake?! The cake and cupcakes are from Meijer. I was shocked to find that they had unicorn cakes available, but they are so cute and only $12 at our local Meijer.

UNICORN BABY SHOWER PARTY FAVORS

For favors, we did fun unicorn rubber duckies in clear cellophane bags tied with pink ribbon and a thank you card. I made the cards on PicMonkey and just printed them out on cardstock paper.

This was the perfect baby shower for our baby girl! I just want to say a special thank you to everyone who came to both of our baby showers and to everyone who hosted.
