MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHY–LEXINGTON, KY

My friend Jenny, of Jenfolio Portrait Art, is such a wonderful photographer! She has great vision, and I love how dreamy these portraits turned out. She listened to my ideas, and melded them with her own. She was also wonderful and patient with Kane. I really appreciated her taking her time to get the shots we wanted, instead of rushing us through the session. Pictures can be so’s stressful, but she made me feel at ease and beautiful. MATERNITY SHOOT LOCATION–LEXINGTON, KY

Jenny found this beautiful location called Fairyhouse Hall for us to shoot my maternity photos at.  Fairyhouse Hall is an upscale private event venue that just opened last year. The house and surrounding grounds are beautiful, and it can be booked for a variety of events. There are 7 bedrooms that can be rented out for a complete experience. Heather and her CheFarmer husband are so welcoming!

HAIR + MAKEUP FOR MATERNITY SHOOT–LEXINGTON, KY

Y’all, I always do my own hair and makeup, so it was nice to be pampered by Katie Noel. Katie is a Redken Specialist at Bak 4 More hair studio. I loved how my hair and makeup turned out! While you can always book an appointment with Katie at the studio, Katie can also be booked to come on location for hair and makeup.

FLORAL DESIGN FOR MATERNITY PHOTOS–LEXINGTON, KY

How beautiful are the bouquet and flower crown by Gretchen at Sunkissed Blooms?!  They perfectly fit the feel and look we were going for with this shoot. I especially loved the unique shape of the bouquet.

We had such a fun time shooting these maternity photos!  I will cherish these portraits forever, as I still look back on my maternity session when I was pregnant with Kane.  I know that sometimes women don’t want to do maternity sessions because they feel huge or think it’s a waste of money, but you never get back this time in your life.  That’s why I also recommend that expecting moms snap a bump pic each week.
