Mint Gingham Maternity Look with Spring Colors

Hi, friends!  Today I’m back after a short break, as I unexpectedly had the baby last week. I want to thank you all for the well wishes on Facebook and Instagram! My heart is so full of joy right now–I can’t believe she is here and I finally get to snuggle her in my arms. But I’m also a little sad, as this week marks my last maternity outfits that I will be sharing with you.

Weekend before last, we took Kane out on one last “only child” day to focus on him before the baby arrived.  I’m working on a full blog post about our day and suggestions for planning a similar day for older siblings-to-be, but I wanted to go ahead and share my outfit with you.

My mint gingham popover is from the new Isabel Maternity line at Target.  While I’m usually not a fan of tie waist maternity shirts, I love this one, especially for spring. The material is lightweight and breezy.  It’s a great shirt for the second and third trimesters as the bottom flows. Since the top is flowy, I chose to pair it with my full panel maternity jeans with ripped knees.  That way, the panel gave my belly shape that the shirt didn’t provide.

The weather was great that day, and I was in a spring mood, so I added pops of spring colors to my outfit with my lavender fringe earrings, pink flats, and Lilly Pulitzer clutch. I’m loving mint with lavender and/or cobalt for this upcoming season.

This outfit worked great for our family outing!

Finally, after receiving a bunch of messages regarding labor and delivery, etc., I have some content coming up that I think many of you will connect with, including our birth story. After some internal debate, I plan on sharing it because our birth story is the exact opposite of what I wanted/expected (but turned out amazing), and I hope this helps some of you who may end up in our position.
