Happy Monday! Has anyone else put their taxes off to the last minute, or is it just me? UGH. I have to get started on those today. I’d like to say that tax day has just snuck up on me because of the new baby, but I’d be lying.haha I do this every single year. Anyways, let’s talk about this cute outfit that’s perfect for spring date nights.
Top: Who What Wear // Pants: Old Navy // Earrings: c/o Sugarfix // Shoulder bag: A New Day // Flats: A New Day
As I talked about over the last couple of weeks, gingham is THE print for spring. Gingham has been around for many years, of course, so I’m sure you have at least one gingham piece in your closet. The trick to making it feel fresh, however, is to look for update silhouettes. This sleeveless gingham top fits the bill. From the tie bow shoulder to the ruffle peplum-ish hem, this top is a winner. Be sure to wear your hair up to show off the bow on your shoulder.
For a more casual look, you could pair it with dark wash button-fly jeans. I wanted my outfit to be dressier, so I wore my favorite skinny ankle dress pants in pink. I probably own 10 pairs of these pants in different colors and fabrics. Every season, I refresh my closet with one or two new pairs because they’re such a classic pant.
For accessories, I went bright and bold (no surprises there). If you buy just one new pair of earrings this spring, make it this pair because they go with almost everything. They pick up the color of my pants and the color of my bold blue shoulder bag. For shoes, I kept it simple with a nude pair of flats.
This top has me dreaming of summer! So cute!
Amazing! you look pretty in this outfit. And you are so adorable that no one will agree that you are mom of two children after watching you.
