Y’all, I didn’t know if this post was going to make it to the blog or not. Which would’ve been sad, because this is the perfect pastel look for spring! The mint and lavender work beautifully together, don’t they?!
Lace top: Loft // Nude cami: Old Navy (also recommend this one) // Jeans: Old Navy (high rise version with finished hem) // Nude flats: A New Day // Earrings: c/o Sugarfix // Necklace: Kate Spade // Sunglasses: BP // Bangle: David Yurman // Bag: Who What Wear
I wore this outfit out on a date night with Chauncey Saturday night. We were going to shoot it for the blog then. We even had the location picked out, but when I went to check the camera settings, the camera wouldn’t turn on. I opened the compartment–no battery and no memory card.haha So we just went on to dinner at Minglewood instead. Flash forward to the next day. We were in Louisville and I brought this outfit with me to do the shoot there. We get into the shoot and I realized that I had the wrong shoes on!haha I mean, it still looked good, but it wasn’t what what I wanted to shoot. Luckily I realized it soon enough and was able to swap the shoes.
OK, let’s get these sunglasses outta the way first, since they’re a focal point of this outfit. These exaggerated cat eye sunnies are THE must-have sunglasses of the spring and summer. Let’s be honest–you either love them or you hate them. While it took a few weeks for them to grow enough on me for me to order a pair, they are fun statement sunnies. I’ve seen a lot of retailers coming out with versions of these, and some are super expensive. For this polarizing look, I recommend snagging an inexpensive pair, like the $14 pair I’m wearing.
Moving on, I’m so glad that lace is still having a moment. This mint lace top is darling for the warmer weather months and is currently on sale for $24–grab it while you can! You will need a nude cami to layer underneath, and I’ve linked my favorite ones above. I think that white is the obvious color choice for bottoms to pair with this top, but I chose to pair it with another pastel. Blush or pale yellow would also look very pretty with the mint.
I can’t get enough of this little gingham bag–it goes with everything! And so do these earrings I just got in the mail this weekend. I have worn them every day since I got them!
When I went to LA I realized I’d left my camera battery at home! Not cool! I had to go buy a new one, lol. I like this outfit a lot. It’s cute! I got new sunglasses before LA but I didn’t go with the cat eyes!
This is such a cute color combination on and I love that top on you! Sierra~Beautifully Candid
I’m loving all of your pastels here!! And I was like “Where have I seen those sunglasses before? Oh I know!” hahaha You are rocking them just as much as Barbie! 🙂 https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/97b30dc09e39be23406ffb9388fcb224b93d4ad75fdce85a8ccba7a8fa54a335.jpg
