Life Lately: Milestones + High Five for Friday Linkup

TGIF! It’s been a BIG week in the Fannin house. It’s been a little hard on this momma’s heart to have so many milestones packed in such a small amount of time.

First, Karoline started daycare this week. While that’s a post in and of itself that will be com
ing later, just know that it went well and I survived. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

Second, Kane turned FIVE yesterday. Where does time go?! Until I became a parent, I never understood the true meaning of a birthday. Because just as much as it’s a celebration of that person, it’s a celebration for the parents as well. As a parent, you’re also celebrating the anniversary of one of the absolute best days of your life! I think back to going into the hospital to be induced with Kane—I was so excited and scared at the same time. And to hold your child in your arms for the very first time is an indescribable joy. I took Spiderman cupcakes to Kane’s class for snack. And we went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate at Kane’s request:) His party is on Saturday.

Third, Kane’s preschool graduation is TONIGHT. They have little cap and gowns, and have been working on a secret song to perform.

For my fellow mommas, how do you deal with all of the milestones?
