The Truth Behind Getting Dressed + the Most Comfortable Wedges for Summer

OK, I know most of you probably think that it’s easy for me to put together outfits since I’m a fashion blogger. And for the most part, that is true. But some days I struggle. Hard.

Take this dress for instance. I picked it up on sale at Loft and fell in love with the print! The yellow really caught my eye, and I was drawn to the print. Fast-forward to it arriving on my doorstep. I tried it on and hated it.  It immediately went into a pile for returns.

Well, I haven’t had a chance to return it yet, so I decided to give it a go this weekend. I literally just went around my house and grabbed random items to throw on with it. I thought a black or white necklace would blend in, so I grabbed this long pink necklace from Sugarfix with gold coins. Then, as I was opening up my closet to grab these wedges, I spied my hat I bought for the beach. It had a black and white band, so I thought, “might as well add this too!” And I picked up my gingham bag from a chair as I was walking out the door.

Fashion isn’t an exact science. It’s should be fun. Don’t be afraid to try different combos, colors, or patterns, because you just don’t know how it will look until you get it on. Sometimes a random hot mess looks like the most calculated outfit you’ve ever worn.haha
