It’s no secret that I love all things bright (duh). Surprisingly, I didn’t get into Lilly Pulitzer until after I had graduated law school. I still remember my first piece–a State of Mind skort that I found at Clothes Mentor. While I wear a ton of Lilly pieces, I don’t always wear Lilly-on-Lilly. I like to work Lilly into my outfits featuring non-Lilly as well.
Tank: Lilly Pulitzer (similar) // Jeans: Old Navy (high rise + tailored hem) // Straw circle bag: Free People (splurge option, similar under $25) // Earrings: c/o Sugarfix // Necklace: c/o Sugarfix // Sandals: Time and Tru
One of the things I’ve struggled with the most as a Lilly fan is what non-Lilly bottoms to wear with my brightly colored top. I frequently wear them with brightly colored shorts from J. Crew and pixie pants from Old Navy, but at first I shied away from wearing them with jeans.
Now I frequently mix my Lilly with jeans! Of course, you can always have your standby white jeans to wear. In fact, that’s what I’m wearing today:) But these lavender jeans from Old Navy are PERFECT for wearing with Lilly tops! I’ve been able to pair them with several Lilly patterns and they look so cute.
Tip: Anytime I see a fun-colored pair of jeans that are under $25, I buy them. If I don’t, I always regret it! Plus, they seem just a tad more dressy than regular jeans.
Are you a fan of Lilly?
Super cute look, beautiful friend! 🙂
I agree colored jeans seem more fancy than regular jeans and I need some myself!
What a fun combo!
