Life Lately: End of August + High Five for Friday Linkup

Kindergarten is in full swing. Kane has been acclimating well to big kid school.  He is really tired in the evenings, although he won’t admit it.  We have had one meltdown over homework. It took us an HOUR to write five 2s because he wouldn’t make them as big as they needed to be. I told Chauncey I needed to take up drinking to get through homework at night.haha The next night, I gave him a snack and had him do his homework as soon as we made it through the door and it went MUCH better.

Speaking of being tired, this momma is EXHAUSTED. Kane has to be at school about an hour and a half earlier than we’re used to being out the door. I’m working hard to get into a new routine. He hasn’t been late for school any yet, but we’ve had a couple of close calls. That car line is NO JOKE.

Are you ready for fall or hanging on to summer?  I’m torn. I love fall so much but I’m going to miss summer terribly. Content around here will be transitioning to fall content ASAP. I’ll miss pool days, sno cones, and wearing shorts when fall weather finally does make it’s way to Kentucky.

I’m brainstorming new content for the blog.  Would you all like to see more behind-the-scenes/day-in-the-life-of content? Would you like to see more family-oriented posts (fashion posts aren’t going anywhere)? Would you like to see more beauty posts (that’s something I’ve been working to incorporate more? Let me know in the comments!

Hope you have a great weekend!

I love those cropped wide-leg pants you’re wearing in the first look—super cute!

I personally love family oriented posts! But do what you like. I so remember the homework meltdowns over writing. Now Simon had his first math homework on Friday and that wasn’t easy either!

I working on more family-oriented content. A lot of people want more working mom + family content, so I’m figuring it out as I go. Shew—I almost want Kane to do his homework at the after school program, but then I won’t know what he knows and what he’s struggling with.
