Life Lately + High Five for Friday Linkup

I can’t believe it’s already August! How did that happen?! There’s lots going on in the Fannin house (yes, even more so than usual.haha).

Last Friday, Chauncey and I purchased our very first brand new car! If you’ve been around for awhile, then you probably know I’ve been looking for vehicles since the first of the year. I’m relentless when it comes to searching for the best deal, and didn’t want to rush in. Well, sometimes life happens. I needed a new car, stat! After a week of searching, I ended up purchasing a 2019 Chevy Traverse from Dan Cummins Chevrolet in Paris, Kentucky.  They were easy to work with and I got a great deal. If you live in the central Kentucky area and are looking for a vehicle, give John Hinkson a call there and he will take care of you.  Heck, even if you don’t, give him a call.  I do believe they can arrange to ship vehicles. And if they don’t have what you’re looking for, they can typically dealer trade for it.  Mine was a dealer trade and it basically just added an extra day to the process.

In other news, Kane is getting ready to start Kindergarten.  SO. MANY. FEELINGS. I’m scrambling to purchase everything on his school supply list. I just did some school shopping for new clothes too. Yes, he has clothes already, but my mom always bought me new school clothes. I loved that tradition, so I’m continuing it. The other day, I showed him a shirt on a website and asked if he wanted it (it was super cute). He said, and I quote, “I want something more classic. . .more cooler.” Say what?! THIS KID Y’ALL. In case you’re wondering, I bought the shirt anyways.lol

And next week, I’m heading down to Atlanta for my first blogging conference! I’m so excited. I hope everything goes well.  My mom is coming with me and we’re taking the kids.
