Happy Friday, friends! Man, what a week.
Kane started Kindergarten on Wednesday. This momma was equal parts excited and sad, but everything went well! The night before, we read the book, The Night Before Kindergarten and sprinkled the magic confetti from his teacher under his pillow. The morning of the first day was a hot mess (when isn’t it?). We were able to snap his picture with his first day chalkboard, and made it to school right on time—not a minute early, not a minute late.
Y’all will never believe what I inadvertently did, though. We were in such a rush to get out of the house that I forgot to shut the front door!!!! We drive back home so I can drop Chauncey off, and there’s Giz, standing behind the glass screen door. I thought, “Why can I see Giz?!” And then it hit me—I’d left the actual front door wide open!haha

We we’re in Atlanta last weekend for The Blog Societies Conference. Both Kane and Karoline went with me. It was a nice last adventure for Kane before he started school. I had promised him before we went that I’d take him to the LEGO Discovery Center, so after all was said and done, we drove into downtown ATL to check it out. Kane really enjoyed it! There were two rides to ride, some games to play, and a giant pirate playground. Oh, and they had banana Icees, which are basically the best treat ever!

Finally, we’ve gotten Kane started watching Harry Potter?? He watched a couple of the movies on and off at the hotel, and picked up some Harry Potter Legos at the LEGO Discovery Center. Once we got home, we started watching The Sorcerer’s Stone. He loved it and is ready to watch chamber of Secrets now!

How cute is Kane! Glad you guys had fun in Atl.
Awww….I can’t believe he’s in kinder! Precious, precious days. We went out of town for the weekend once and got back home to our door wide open…with no screen at all. Evidently we didn’t shut it well (or lock it) and the wind blew it open. That was a shocker!
