Buffalo Plaid for the Office

It’s fall, which means it’s buffalo plaid season!!! Buffalo plaid is one of my all-time favorite prints.  In fact, Becky and I are known as the Buffalo Plaid Police (right, Jessica?haha). I just think it’s a beautiful print to wear in the fall and winter months. I have tons of buffalo plaid in my closet, but grabbed this top when I was by Old Navy this weekend. I saw these pants too while I was there, and thought “how about an outfit showing how to wear buffalo plaid for the office?”

The easiest wear to wear buffalo plaid to the office is to wear it as a top and just add black bottoms, whether it’s black pants or a black skirt. These pixie pants have the best little detail with a black velvet polka dot print all over them. It’s subtle, though, so it works.

I popped on my matching buffalo plaid heels, because why not? This outfit would also work well with leopard, black, or plain red shoes. For a fun twist, I added turquoise earrings from Baublebar. Turquoise and red is one of my fave color pairings.

Also, my bag was a little bit of an investment, but I’ve gotten so much use out of it! The size is perfect. I can fit my laptop and some smaller files, along with a legal pad. Plus it’s proven to be very sturdy. If you can find a great work bag, don’t be afraid to invest in it.
