TGIF!!! I don’t know about you, but I’m so happy it’s finally Friday! I thought I’d pop in with a little life lately update today.
I started working with UK Athletics this season as a social ambassador. You know where BIG University of Kentucky fans around here and I’m an alumna of UK College of Law, so it’s been awesome. So far, we’ve been to Big Blue Madness and Meet the Wildcats with the UK Women’s team. This year, the team’s theme is PoWEr–they’re focusing on powerful women and making a difference. How cool is that? It’s very important to me that Kane have examples of powerful women in his life. I strive to be one every day, and like to have reinforcement. The other day, he was doing something and said, “That’s how a real man does it.” Umm, excuse me?! I nipped that in the bud real quick, and explained to him that’s not a belief we have in this house.
Karoline is well into her first year, and we’ve been filling this time with lots of “first” memories. They’re only little once, and I love documenting these special moments. Taking pictures of kids isn’t easy, but we’ve got a system that works. Would anyone be interested in a post on tips for taking pictures of your kids? It would be focused on cell phone shots, not fancy cameras. Let me know what you think!
I’m so excited. Chauncey and I are having a date night tomorrow! We’re heading to see Chris Stapleton in concert. You know, we’ve been married for 9.5 years, with kids for 5.5 of those years, and I think we’re still trying to figure this whole balanced marriage thing out. Last week, we fell asleep talking to each other in bed. Chauncey and I talked the next morning, and we couldn’t remember the last time that had happened. Take time to constantly reconnect with your spouse.
Things I’m working on personally include time management skills and being more present. The blog has been going through a little bit of a transition phase here lately (timing of posts, etc.), and that’s because I’m figuring out what works best scheduling-wise for my hectic life. I’m ironing out some kinks here, but am back up to posting 4 times per week. Thanks for sticking around and always supporting me and this little blog:)
ICYMI, here’s this week’s posts:
1. Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation Review

NOW FOR THE LINKUP!
TGIF!!! Della at Della Devoted, Katie at Cup of Tea, Becky at BYBMG, and myself want to welcome you to the High Five for Friday link-up and the weekend. We made it! High Five for Friday is where we come together to share our favorite posts we’ve written throughout the week. Drop up to 3 links below!

That’s so cool that you and Kane get to do so much fun stuff with UK! Your IG Stories always look so fun! I went to a really tiny school for undergrad, so I guess Villanova (where I went for grad school) is my only hope for a similar experience haha!
Those buffalo plaid shoes!! Love them!!
Fun that you’re working with UK now!
