I’m always on the hunt for a good foundation, and have worn foundations all over the pricing spectrum. I recently ran out of this foundation, so I headed to Sephora. Sephora does an overall great job with their Sephora Collection line of makeup, and I had my eye on their foundation for awhile. While there are a couple of options, I chose the Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation in Light Oak.
The Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation is only $20. It comes in a wide-range of shades–there are even some shades in store that are not online. After trying it on my hand in store, I was surprised that this foundation is listed as medium coverage, because it covers so well and is buildable. If you’re trying a foundation out in store and want to quickly test the coverage, squirt some on your hand. The less the foundation runs, the more full coverage it is.
This foundation goes on smoothly and covers well. Typically, one full pump covers my entire face. I apply it with my hands, and use a blender to clean it up around my nose and eyes. For a lighter coverage, I would use a half pump or apply a full pump using a damp beauty blender. It creates a nice base without smothering your skin.
Overall, I really love the Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation and would repurchase it. My skin is normal to dry in the winter time, and this feels good. The foundation is also oil-free, which is great if you fight acne like I do. And for $20, this foundation is a great find!
