Yesterday, I posted a dressy New Year’s Eve look. Today’s New Year’s Eve outfit is a more casual look. We typically celebrate New Year’s Eve by going out to dinner and then watching the ball drop at home, but I still want alllll the sparkle. Here’s my casual but sparkly New Year’s Eve outfit.

I really like contrasts and unexpected pairings in outfits. I knew I wanted to wear this glitter sweatshirt. After mulling over my options for pants, I started digging through my closet to find my faux leather leggings to go with it. The faux leather leggings keep the outfit from being too casual. They compliment the glitter on the sweatshirt even as they contrast with the laid-back vibe of it.

Finally, halfway through the shoot I decided to try this velvet bow hair tie. I think it looks great with my hair pulled back halfway, and it would look cute around a bun too (it’s on an elastic.
