Happy Monday! For the record, I’m riding the struggle bus today. I’m trying to get into the swing of things, though, so let’s hop into this post. We got a little bit of snow in Lexington this weekend (not enough!), and I got to wear my favorite winter coat that’s oh so warm AND under $100!
My winter coat was a Christmas gift from my mom. It’s the J. Crew Factory city coat, and it comes in 5 other colors. I have an aqua one from several seasons ago, and it’s my fav winter coat! I love the long lines of the jacket and the standup collar. Now, I can wear an 8 and a 10 in this jacket. The cut is a little different than past years–I’m pretty tall, and the sleeves are long even on me. There is a petite option though. So often I see warm winter coats priced over $200. This one is on sale for $89.50 today, which is an excellent price point.
I layered my coat over a Signature Soft dress from Lou & Grey for a super cozy combo. Sometimes I’m hesitant to wear dresses in the winter because it’s like I forget about tights. But between the coat, my tights, and my boots, this was a very warm outfit. My boots are the Bearpaw Onyx boots. They also come in a hickory color and are delightful to wear for the whole day. I don’t know what kind of magic Bearpaw works on their boots to make them so comfortable, but it’s amazing!
Finally, if you’re wearing a long coat like this, make sure your jewelry stands out! I layered this black tassel statement necklace with my new favorite initial necklace. I also added bold earrings in case that wasn’t enough.
