Winter Date Night Look

TGIF! I mentioned that Chauncey and I had a date night a couple of weekends ago, and this is what I wore. We usually head downtown for our date nights, which means some walking will be involved. And it was cold. But even when it’s cold, I still want to look cute.  This look is the perfect winter date night look.

sweater–on sale for $13.99! // skirt–on sale for under $10 // boots // crossbody bag (save) // statement earrings // initial necklace // long necklace c/o

A skirt and tall boot combo is always a good option for a winter date night outfit. The little ruffle on this skirt is adorable. This skirt is on sale for less than $10 w/ code CLEAROUT! There’s a lot of really good deals included in the sale. Since my skirt is navy, I paired it with tan boots. These are very comfortable to walk in, but be sure to wear socks with them as the inside can rub your ankle (on the zipper side).

Of course I paired it with a cozy sweater. I wish I would’ve taken my normal size in this sweater instead of sizing up. You can’t beat the $13.99 price, and this shade of pink is so pretty for spring. I’ve really been into this whole pink and purple color scheme lately, if you can’t tell. My crossbody really pops across the pink. If you follow me on Instagram, you may recognize this little bag from my IG stories. I came across it on sale on the Nordstrom website for $135 (reg. $298). I ordered it right away, and it was sold out the next day. Fast forward a few days, and it’s back up on the Nordstrom website for full price. I don’t know what happened, but I’m glad I got it when I did as I’ve already gotten a ton of wear out of it.

This look is sure to keep you warm on date night:) You don’t have to be cold to be cute.haha

Finally, I hope everyone has a great weekend! It’s been a busy week around here. I’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes on some changes. First, the blog is getting a little bit of a makeover sometime over the next few weeks. Second, I’m working on new/different ways to deliver content. For example, when I post my blog outfits on IG, I am also posting a video (saved to my highlights tab on my IG profile) of that outfit actually in motion. Are y’all interested in me posting those videos to the blog as part of the outfit post??? Third, I’ve been checking things off of my long-overdue to-do list. 2018 was a year of big changes in my life, which has called for some adjustments on my end. Now that I’m back in the swing of things, I’m looking forward to all things blogging this year:)
