Sweater with Sandals

When it gets close to spring, one of the first items I want to ditch is closed-toe shoes. For real. I would say socks too, but I rarely wear socks. So I enjoy wearing a sweater and sandal combo when the temps warm up just enough.

Let’s start by addressing the elephant dinosaur in the room–yes, this is totally a Barney color scheme. No, I’m not mad about it. The 90s are making a comeback after all.haha I’m digging this forest green sweater contrasted against the pastel lavender shade of my bag and shoes. I’m always excited when I find new color combos, like this one, to wear, even when might remind you of a certain dinosaur.

Also making a comeback are flare jeans in 90s washes.  This pair is a cropped flare pair from the Wild Fable line at Target. I found this pair on the clearance rack for $12! If you’re in-between sizes, size up. When I’m looking to take a new style of jeans for a trial spin, I always look for pairs under $25. That way, if they don’t work out, I’m not super sad.

One of the things I like most about this look is the contrast. The sweater keeps things cozy, but the sandals say that spring is coming. Do you like wearing sandals with sweaters, or is it pushing the season too much?

Nice to meet you!
