TGIF! Sooo happy it’s Friday. We’re evidently not sleeping in my house this week [insert eye roll]. Karoline is cutting her 6th tooth and is NOT a happy camper. I styled these pants last week in a transitional look, and thought it would be fun to style them for spring this week. So while it’s not Work-Wear Wednesday, I’m bringing you Office Fashion Friday with this business casual office look for spring.haha
SHOP THIS POST:
top // black pants // earrings // clutch (also) // slides
Blank ankle pants really are so versatile, but they’re also crisp and classic, which is why I love them. They are one of my top 5 closet staples. . .okay, probably top 3. And cream and black is one of my favorite color combos. No matter the time, of year, it looks so fresh.
This spring, I’m looking for details, details, details on tops. This mock-neck floral top has it all. The mock neck is beautiful and graceful when the bow is tied. You leave it untied and let it hang, but I’m not a fan. The ruffle details on the sleeves are a nice touch too. I will tell you–I liked this on the rack, but fell in love with it on.
If I’m wearing black in the spring, then I’m wearing bright accessories to make it more spring-appropriate. Pastel blue looks so good with this color combo! I featured these earrings as one of my must-have pieces for spring, and they’re finally in stock online. If blue isn’t your thing, you can snag them in dreamy lavender instead.
Now, if you’re wearing black pants for spring, skip wearing closed-toe black shoes! I’m not saying it’s a fashion faux pas, per se, but I’m not saying it’s not either. I highly recommend grabbing these slides under $25. They will go with all your outfits.
FYI, I’m wearing my favorite LOFT pants here, which is appropriate, because I’m hosting an event with LOFT next weekend. Stop by the Loft at Lexington Green on Sunday, March 24 from 1-3 p.m. to shop with me! It’s the perfect time to pick out your outfit for Keeneland or Derby!
