TGIF! I’ve been in the spring spirit since. . .oh, February. . .so it’s nice to finally be able to consistently dress for spring. Honestly, I’ve been wearing all the pastels and bright colors. With Easter right around the corner, I wanted to share an alternative to your typical Easter dress with this striped top and floral skirt combo for Easter.
top–on sale for $12 // skirt–$22 // wedges // earrings–currently BOGO 50% off // glasses // clutch // necklace
Pattern-mixing can be difficult and a little scary at first, but here, I’m using one of my favorite easy tricks for pattern-mixing. When you carry the same main color over between both patterns, they seem to go together much more easily! If you’re looking to pattern-mix for Easter, def pick a floral as one of your patterns, and pick a pastel color for your look.
This high-low skirt flows so pretty and is a breeze to wear. I tried tucking my shirt in, but it looked too “office-y,” so I tied it at my waist instead. And with a high-low skirt, you’ll want to wear either wedges or heels, otherwise it’s not as flattering.
You could also easily swap this button-up top out for a simple tee if you’re heading to an egg hunt after church and/or brunch. Next week, I’ll be bringing you a couple of fancy options that will work for Easter, Keeneland, or the Kentucky Derby.
