Today’s outfit features a closet staple–my black shirt dress. This particular piece is one I’ve had for several years, and I know you’ve seen before around here. A shirt dress is such a classic piece, and they’re definitely on trend for summer. You can dress them up or down, and really make the look your own. Here, I’ve styled mine for Memorial Day.

I actually wore this outfit to Savvy Salon and Spa‘s open house this past weekend. That’s where I get my lash extensions and facials done at. We had such a busy day, and I was rushing to head out the door. I grabbed this shirt dress because I always feel very put-together when I wear black.
This outfit just kind of put itself together after that. I slipped on my bright blue sandals and grabbed my white bag. Then I tossed on my lobster earrings for good effect (they’re back in stock now!). This look gives a casual vibe for summer that I’m loving! I realized then that it would be a great look for this Memorial Day weekend if you have an event to attend.
