How to Wear the Tie-Dye Trend

Happy Thursday! As a 90’s kid, I adore tie-dye print and love that it’s made a comeback. I’ve seen tie-dye everywhere this summer–it’s no longer just for t-shirts. Tie-dye can be a tricky print to wear, but I promise it’s totally doable! Here’s how to wear the tie-dye trend.

How to Wear the Tie-Dye Trend

Tie-dye prints are typically bright and bold, so they can feel overwhelming. The trick to wearing tie-dye is to allow the tie-dye print to be the focal point of the outfit, like this beautiful tie-dye kimono. You’ll want to keep any other pieces of clothing, like pants or camis, to solid, neutral shades. Avoid trying to mix patterns.

Next, you’ll want to add some playful accessories, like these seed bead bangles  and acrylic earrings. Look for colors that compliment the tie-dye pattern, or go with black or white accessories. Your accessories should compliment your outfit without overwhelming it.

Transitioning Tie-Dye into Fall

I know summer is coming to a trend, but the tie-dye trend is not. Look for long-sleeved pieces or for layering pieces, like my kimono, that will allow you to style this trend into cooler weather. I love kimonos layered over shorts, but you can always swap them out for skinny jeans or leggings too!
