Plaid and Leopard Mix + High Five for Friday Linkup

We’re officially into the first week of fall, so it’s time to break out the plaid if you haven’t already.  Plaid is my favorite enduring fall trend. Last year, I just couldn’t find any plaids I was in love with, and I don’t know that I bought a single plaid top. This year, I’ve already gotten 3, including this beauty I’m wearing today. And one of my favorite ways to wear plaid is to pair plaid with leopard print!

When it comes to plaids, I always look for colorways and patterns that are a little different that usual. The plaid I’m wearing is such a fun combo of fall colors, and the orange stripe really pops. It’s a slightly longer top, so works well with leggings, but I chose to wear it tied up.

I was so excited to find these crop flare black jeans, as I had missed out on the similar ones from Kut from the Kloth during the Nordstrom sale. These are just $7.99(!!!) and have a very similar shape. Snag these while you can, especially if it’s still hot where you’re at.

Now, I said I love pairing plaid with leopard. One of the ways to do this is my tossing on some leopard shoes. Now, in the past I’ve opted for leopard flats and leopard heels. Leopard tennis shoes/sneakers/whatever you want to call them, though, are BIG this fall! And you can wear them with so much, including your plaid button-ups!

Have you broken out your plaid yet?
