How to Wear a Blanket Wrap

It’s that time of year where I’m reaching for all things cozy. I want something that makes me feel like I’m wrapped up in a blanket. While wearing a blanket in public may not be socially acceptable, wearing a blanket wrap is. Blanket wraps look so chic, but if you get tired of working to keep them on your shoulders, this fashion hack is for you. Here’s how to wear a blanket wrap with a belt.

striped blanket wrap // ruffle bottom thermal tee // $38 Assets by Spanx faux leather leggings // belt // Kendra Scott Elora earrings c/o–on sale // black granite necklace c/o // dichroic glass necklace c/o // similar satchel // Bearpaw Anthracite boots c/o–save 20% with code TIFFANY20 (U.S. ONLY)

First, you will want to select a belt that fits your waist but leaves enough room to fit the blanket wrap under. Next, you’ll want to decide how to fold your wrap. Do this by laying it flat and folding it in half long-ways. Try it around your shoulders. You’ll want something the bottom edge in the back to hit right around your elbow, otherwise your movement will be restricted. If it hangs too low, fold it again. When it’s wrapped around your shoulders, position everything, including the front edges, exactly where you want them, then add your belt at your waist. The belt should come under the wrap in the back and  After adding the belt, you’ll want to smooth out the wrap flat underneath the belt and make any necessary tucks.

The striped blanket wrap makes such a statement and is only $35! I absolutely love the color mix. I recommend wearing a long-sleeved top under your blanket wrap. This ruffle bottom thermal tee works well because the ruffle along the bottom hem shows. Add some statement jewelry to balance out the size of the blanket wrap. The $38 Assets by Spanx faux leather leggings I’m wearing help elevate this outfit and make it a great option for holiday get-togethers. (You can see another way to style them and get a more detailed review in this post.)

Finally, I added brown boots to break up the black leggings, and it matches the color scheme of the wrap. These Bearpaw Anthracite boots are my latest boot addiction. They are lined on the inside with a comfortable insole and heel height. And you can snag them for 20% off with code Bearpaw promo code TIFFANY20 (U.S. ONLY).
